Occupational Therapy Assessment:

An assessment by an occupational Therapist is often an important part of a comprehensive assessment for a variety of different presentations, especially neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD. Occupational Therapists assesses functioning across all aspect of daily life. These assessments usually cover broad areas of development and skill level. These assessments include clinical interviews, observations, asking for the completion of different questionnaires by parents and teachers and practical assessments.

They try to understand the complete picture of the presentation, including your immediate concerns in addition to developmental history and current progress.

Occupational therapists perform Comprehensive Fine and Gross Motor Assessments, Sensory Processing, Sensory Integration and Self-Regulation Assessments, Sensory Profile, Executive Functioning Assessments, and Adaptive Behaviour Assessments
